Public Involvement Meeting Notice
Improvements to bridge on Town Park Drive
Planned improvements for the bridge on Town Park Drive in the Town of Kimball, Iron County, will be discussed at a public involvement meeting on February 11, 2025. The meeting will be held in conjunction with the regularly scheduled town board meeting that is scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM at the Kimball Community Center, 5708W Center Dr, Hurley, WI 54534.
The Town Park Drive bridge project involves improvements to the roadway and bridge at the crossing of West Branch Montreal River approximately 0.4 miles west of the intersection with Park Road. The project includes replacement of the existing bridge with a new single-span concrete flat slab bridge and approximately 200-feet of roadway approaches. Town Park Drive is a dead-end roadway. During construction of the project, the bridge will be closed to traffic. Kimball Town Park will be closed during construction. Construction is anticipated to take approximately 3 to 4 months during 2026. The earliest construction could begin is June 16th due to in-stream work restrictions. The exact timeframe will be determined by the contractor based on their availability. A temporary easement will be needed in the northeast quadrant.
A variety of exhibits and maps will be featured at the public involvement meeting, and a representative from Ayres Associates will be available to discuss the project and answer questions. The public is encouraged to attend to examine the proposed improvement and discuss any concerns they might have.
Persons requiring an interpreter, materials in alternate formats, or other accommodations to access this meeting virtually are encouraged to contact the Town of Kimball or Ayres at the numbers below at least 72 hours prior to the meeting so arrangements can be made. Deaf or hard of hearing persons needing assistance may contact the Town of Kimball or Ayres via the Wisconsin Telecommunication Relay System (dial 711).
